CAR HUNT FINISHED!!!: Finally, after my long hard search, the car hunt is over. All my sacrificing time to go to work and whatnot has paid off. On saturday I picked up a 1988 Honda Prelude Si for the player's price of \$3700 and it's pretty much problem free. The only things are the odd spot that could use a touchup of paint. But it came with all the options Hondas came with back then (4 wheel steering, moonroof, spoiler)and it has cd deck and rims which is a plus. I don't know. Not everyone's cup of tea, but I am more than happy with it. Much more.
The picture with this isn't my car but it is the absolute closest thing I can find. Same color, same year and model. My car has different rims though. I'll have pics of mine up next week.
QS TOURNAMENTS: Progress continues to be made by the FunBo alternatively known as Jack Russell at quiettstormm.com. In the text battle tournament, I advanced to the semi finals beating T-Wrex in the second round 3 votes to none. Now I face Lincoln Hayes who beat me in the semi-finals in the last text tourney. Hopefully, this time, I'll come with a better verse.
Also, QS is having a puncline tourney where people come with their best two-liners. I won my first and second round matchups and have advanced to the semi-finals of that tournament too. In the first round, I beat TruestPain and in the second round, I beat Shakes.

HAZARD PONG: Good
week for Hazard Pong. Jeff came over on wednesday and we played some good ole
regular pong which I won. Then we played some hazard pong which had some amazing
points including a clutch bank shot by both of us off the wall. Jeff has a murderous
design on his paddle which makes him better now. It's a drawing of a ping-pong
ball with devil horns and it's holding a skull in one hand and a pitchfork in
the other. It has the words "Il Diablo Pongo" inscribed on it too. Very gangsterous.
However, Il Diablo Pongo was no match for my recently modified paddle. The design
is one that means a lot to me. Several years ago, my uncle brought me a sweater
from Iran that had the word "Chee!" written on it in cursive writing just under
the collar and ACTION written on the bottom of the sweater in big letters. In
between is a guy riding a crotch-rocket motorcycle. So I copied the picture
onto the paddle and wrote Chee! on the top and Action on the bottom. Now I am
fierce. Later that day, my cousin came over to make a cd and while it was burning,
we played some hazard pong and although I lost one game, I won four which makes
me the king. I've noticed now that I tend to lose the odd game more due to my
goofiness but I have more fun now. Either way, I am a better player now. All
because of CheeAction...my paddle name. On a sidenote, be on the lookout for
good hazard pong pics from me next week and some from Jeff in the near future.
THE WEEK IN MOVIES: Lots of movies or videos seen this week. Tuesday I went to Silvercity to see a movie with a couple of my friends from my old townhouse which was cool because I haven't been there in ages. Anyways, laugh if you may, but I saw America's Sweethearts. Pretty good movie, quite chick-flickish but I do recommend people seeing it for one reason: Christopher Walken. He makes the movie great especially in his moments around the end. Christopher Walken is an absolute genius.
As far as videos, I saw these ones at Andrea's with her, Emily and Tara. On wednesday night, we saw two videos. First off was Down To Earth, which I saw for the third time. Either way, I liked the movie. I don't think it's everyone's kinda movie because it's not a regular Chris Rock movie. He's not funny as in "fuck, shit, shit, motherfucker, suck my dick, fuck you" funny. It's more like one of those situational comedies. Not his strength but still a good movie. My one problem was that two of the three times I saw this movie, there was always someone saying "That part would've been funnier if they showed him as the white guy". You know what? No it wouldn't have. If it would've been funnier, they would have done it that way. Stop acting all Roger Ebert.
Moving along, the second video was Sweet November. If I ever felt girly, it was during this shitpiece of a movie. Keanu Reeves is a total joke. He's supposed to be playing a serious role but he doesn't cut the mustard. He's super monotonous in all his lines and he just seems to have no acting ability. They might as well have casted Dolph Lundgren. And the ending was horrible. All in all, I have to say that during the movie I was thinking that it would've been a good time to be Helen Keller.
Friday, we saw Sugar and Spice. I don't really need to go into how good this movie is or isn't because I wrote a review about it in one of the past issues. So party on, Garth.
ENGLISH BAY: Sunday
night, I went with Andrea, Tara, Emily and Emily's sister to English Bay for
the hell of it. It was pretty fun. However, I was super tired because of my
late saturday and busy sunday earlier (more on that later in the issue). Either
way, it was fun. I like English Bay. It's real purdy!!! yeehaw. Yeah, anyways,
I was thinking about how cool it would be to take Sea-Doos there during the
fireworks. That's gangster.
PARTY: Saturday
night, I went to my cousin's house for a party. I stayed relatively drink free
but I still managed to have fun. I always have fun there because all his friends
and their friends are nice to me, which is good, cuz I don't feel like the black
sheep. I guess because I've met all these people lots before though and I know
most of them pretty well. Anyways, the weather was kinda crappy which ruined
our plan to go Sea-Dooing that night but it's okay because we went after breakfast
the next day. All in all, I had a kick-ass night/morning there. It was good
fun.
POETIC DIES: I forgot to mention this in the last issue of the newsletter, but Too Poetic of the rap group Gravediggaz died from colon cancer recently. Very sad. I really liked the Gravediggaz. They made some great music. The new Gravediggaz album was set to come out in the near future with monies gained going towards Poetic's medical bills (about 30 thousand dollars or so, I think). Anyways, sad to see another good man die.
SALMON AWARD: This week's Salmon Award goes to the guy who sold me my car. We'll just call him Martin. He gets the award because he had a rat-tail mullet and an open shirt with hair puffing out. Martin is now known as "Super Mulletatious Hairtazmo Man". Sweeeeeeet.
THE ONION.COM TOP ARTICLES:

it gets to "gonads and strife", you'll be hooked. Trust me. CLICK

FUNBO ALBUM REVIEW: I was gonna review the new Nsync album this week but a recent stop to music world showed me that they have lots of good new albums out so I decided to review Kurupt's new album "Space Boogie: Smoke Odyssey". This album builds on Kurupt's last solo breakthrough "The Streetz Iz A Mutha". The album starts off brilliantly and kinda goes tame in the middle but picks up again in the end. As far as conistency, it's not like "Streetz...". However, when he's on (which is about 80% of the album), the results are great. Great production by Kurupt stalwarts like Daz and Fred Wreck. Also, he has good cameos like Everlast on "Kuruption" and Blaque on "It's Over". Lyrically, you know Kurupt fans know how brings it. He has east coast lyricist skills with a westcoast g-funk twist. Overall, this album is solid. Kurupt fans won't be dissappointed and I think a few more people will be speaking Kurupt's name after this. Standout tracks include (but aren't limited to) "Space Boogie", "On Da Grind", "It's Over", "On, Onsite" and "Kuruption".
BABE BATTLE 27: Last week in an epic babe battle, Warren beat me to the curb. I am severely hurt by this. Warren won 36-12, furthermore proving that democracy sucks. Just to let you know, my counter can tell me who voted for who so I know who all you evil bastards are. To the 12 who voted for me, thank you. To the 36 who voted for Warren, thank you too. Anyways, while I cry in the corner at my latest defeat, check out this week's babe battle: Surfer Veronica Kay vs. tv "star" Tessie Santiago.

BASEBALL POOL: I awoke from my slumber and despite other people having good weeks, I had the best total this week with 371 points which brought me back in the game. Superman Squad (Curtis) | 876 |
Cool Mother Funkers (Bobby) | 762 |

WARREN'S COOL THING
OF THE WEEK: Warren's cool thing of the week is meat. Because meat is good
and he likes eating animals. Mmmm...don't we all?
